DIY Aromatherapy Shower Tablets

Since almost everyone in my home has a bad cold complete with cough and sinus troubles, I thought it was time to "google" a recipe for shower tablets.  I have purchased these at the health food store, but they are a bit pricey--

Here is a pretty simple and easy recipe (however, no measurements are given so it is one of "those" recipes).  I am going to try this and will let you know how I like making my own shower tablets:

I will post some photos tomorrow after I have a chance to try this!

Simple Self Care Rituals

Relaxation Tip Time:

Would you take the time to pamper yourself if you knew of a simple self-care ritual that you could do in the comfort of your own home? Yes? I invite you to take a few minutes to soak your feet and let all the to-do lists, the stress, the expectations, the jobs, and the responsibilities just slide away...... Here are some of the benefits of soaking:

I still remember a woman sharing with me at a foot soak party, "I can't believe how happy and relaxed we all became after something as simple as a foot soak." The beauty of this self-care ritual is that it is simple and effective! Soak your feet while reading your favorite book, perusing Pinterest or just close your eyes and be in the moment.

In terms of our Lemongrass Spa FOOT SOAKS and the benefits of SALT, here is what our owner,
Heidi Leist, shares:  "The magnesium sulfates in the foot soak sedates the nervous system, which relaxes us and causes toxins to be released."

Pictured above is our Herbal Foot Care Kit, which includes the Herbal Foot Soak, an exfoliating Walnut Foot Scrub and a moisturizing Peppermint Foot Balm.

At a spa party I like to say,
"Our foot soaks are great for tired or swollen feet. Epsom salt contains magnesium, which draws out inflammation from the joints and muscles."

"Why are these types of salts beneficial? Magnesium is important for both combating stress and fluid retention, slowing skin aging and calming the nervous system. Calcium is effective at preventing water retention, increasing circulation and strengthening bones and nails. Potassium energizes the body, helps to balance skin moisture and is a crucial mineral to replenish following intense exercise. Bromides act to ease muscle stiffness and relax muscles. Sodium is important for the lymphatic fluid balance (this in turn is important for immune system function). So we can see that bathing in high quality sea salt could replenish the minerals which are critical to our skin metabolism."
